Pattern Portraits (Kings Cross) Shorts
£45
S/M, L/XL
Made from digitally printed Hemp and cotton mix, these shorts are each unique and created from the left over flags from my 2020 commission at Coal Drops Yard.
The shorts feature side pockets, two back pockets and drawstring closure.
All items are unisex.
Each item is unique - the size and code number is listed on the image, select the one you want to purchase from the options on the right.
As these used to be flags flying outdoors, fading and colour variation is a feature of them and to be celebrated!
In 2020, I was commissioned by Company, Place and Rebecca Heald to make a fleet of 120 digitally printed hemp flags for Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross, forming a giant quilt in the sky. I worked with Central Saint Martins textiles and STORE/Store students to create drawings from patterned clothing, thus creating an abstract portrait of the Coal Drops Yard area and its users. The flags flew all summer long, once they came down, they were turned into clothing by VENTURA/Foreman.
